What jurisdictions do you work in?

We work mainly in jurisdictions along the front range including Denver, Lakewood, Aurora, Englewood, Arvada, Jefferson County, Douglas County, etc. We also have projects across Colorado and in Texas and Georgia.

Does your firm evaluate the structural engineering of buildings?

Unfortunately we do not.

Do you work on single-family home projects?

We typically only work on single-family projects if they are new construction.  The majority of our single-family projects are in Douglas and Jefferson Counties, where engineered drainage plans are required, often referred to as "DESC" or "GESC" plans.

What types of projects do you specialize in?

We have a broad range of project types including apartments, townhomes, schools, retail, industrial, institutional, and commercial.

What documents are needed in order to receive an accurate proposal from Brightlighter?

One thing that is extremely helpful is a current ISP survey with topography. This allows us to quickly evaluate potential issues with easements, extreme grades, incumbrances, and jurisdictional drainage requirements. A site plan (even a napkin sketch) is needed to understand the proposed improvements.

I received a survey from the seller of our property. Is it sufficient for design?

There are many types of surveys, but we require an ISP survey with topography in order to prepare most engineering documents. See the link below for more information on survey types.
