Verizon MSC Expansion Construction Update

Dec 12, 2022

Brightlighter successfully entitled an 18,700 square-foot expansion to an existing MSC (mobile switching center) for Verizon Wireless in August of 2021.  Since then, Holder Construction has been hard at work constructing the building shell, internal servers, and battery rooms.  It may look like a vanilla building, but switching centers are incredibly nuanced and require a fine attention to detail.

Needless to say, downtime was not an option with this project.  With a condensed timeline, Brightlighter had to work through the Verizon internal processes to ensure all protocol was met and there would be no disruption to the existing infrastructure.  The massive structures pictured above are stand-by generators in the event of a power outage.  We are looking forward to completion summer of 2024.

Below is a quick fly-over of the switching center expansion.
